Hi all
I'm currently in a Born V2 that I'm delighted with but running down now the remaining months of a 36 month PCP. I like the Tavascan and maybe a Personal Lease which will be a first for me having stuck with PCPs for the last 20 years.
I think my budget will only go to a V1 and it looks as though heated seats only come as part of a Winter Pack which increases the monthly cost by around £50/month.
I have been with in an EV now for 4 years and have always considered heated seats a must-have to minimise climate energy consumption.
That said its the Wife who will really miss that feature if I went for a basic V1.
Does anyone know if seat heating can be added without the heat pump and other features of the Winter Pack?
Many Thanks
Dave
Any owner drivers yet?
Great car, great drive. Got an issue connecting the car to the app at the moment. It seems to hang when trying to load the Qr code to scan. That’s the only gripe at the moment, but it is a bit of a pain. My Cupra guy says to wait a few days but I’m impatient .
created an account just to say i received my v1 winter pack tavascan christmas eve
Went to drive to family on Christmas day and car has a major fault within 24 hours and will not drive
Thinks the charging cable is plugged in when its not, even when you plug it in it doesnt charge and brings up a charging fault error
Was looking forward to this car for ages
Its now in Cupra garage and they dont know how to fix it and waiting to speak to another techinical team
Goiong to be cancelling the lease on this car now unfortunately

That's such a pain. I've been on the ID3 and Born forum for 4 years and not come across that before on an MEB platform.wiggs wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2024 11:29 pm created an account just to say i received my v1 winter pack tavascan christmas eve

I received my Tavascan on the 3rd Feb and have had issues charging. I have an Ohme Home Pro and use Octopus Intelligent Go.
My cheap charging is between 23:30 and 05:30. I plug in the charger to the car at approx 18:00, white light comes on for a short while and then it starts to flash red for about a minute, goes and then comes back a short while later flashing red for a minute or two and then goes out. The car then sits waiting for the charge to start. In the morning the car is charged to the 80% I set it to.
When I looked in the owners manual for what the red light means, it says there is a battery issue and I should take it to dealer to have it looked at. Scary, so I looked at the MyCupra app vehicle section and the battery status shows "Battery Error" I called my dealer service depts and they pretty much fobbed me off by saying they could no look at HV batteries and that I would have to take to a dealer who could look and test the battery. They are 120 miles away, so that is out of the question.
I sent an email to Cupra explaining the issue and they have responded with the following. So, should anybody else have an issue like mine, it looks like there is nothing to worry about.
Kindly note that there is currently a technical issue with scheduling charging via the Octopus app, meaning this functionality is not available for some Volkswagen Group drivers.
Whilst we work on a solution, we would recommend manually charging your car during the off-peak period via your vehicle or scheduling via your compatible home charging app to ensure you still receive the applicable benefits of your tariff.

I've had my V1 with winter pack since December, I can't confirm if you can just order the heated seats but I would say for the extra money the pack is worth it.
Front heated screen works really quick and the heated seats are a god send.
Also the heat pump helps with extending the range. Saying that I'm only getting 2.8kwh but that is in around freezing temps and motorway driving.
So far only very minor issues but that's due to sub zero temps. The wing mirrors sometimes don't fully extend due to the frost and Android auto can sometimes be temperamental.
Boot is more spacious than expected, similar to my last Rav4 Phev.
The only added option I would have liked is an auto handbrake. I'm sure it had it on my wifes id3.
Overall, I've done 2000 miles and have no regrets.

No you can’t order just heated seats. The only pack available is for the V1 and it’s a winter pack which includes heated seats. Your dealer will organise an auto technician to after market the seats, control will be in the plastic seat trim on the side of the seat squab. Should be about half the price of the pack for front 2.
